What if you couldn't remember what your parent's voice sounded like?

For many of the OVER 1 MILLION children across the United States with a parent in prison, this is their reality. Staying connected to your family behind bars is extremely difficult. But with your help, we can start to change this.

Help us send a very special gift to children all across this country.

Storybook Connections helps to maintain the bond between children and their incarcerated parents through the power of literature, enabling children to hear a story in the voice of his or her own parent.

How does it work?

Church volunteers bring children’s books and voice recorders into a prison near them and visit with incarcerated parents.
Parents choose a storybook their children would enjoy, and the church volunteers record them reading the story aloud.
The storybook with the recording is mailed to the children so they can hear their father’s or mother’s voice and know that they are loved and missed.
