It is with great excitement and profound gratitude that we announce Fr. John Kowalczyk and Fr. Stephen Powley as the first recipients of OCPM’s new Fr. Duane Pederson Outstanding Service Award.
Fr. John and Fr. Stephen have supported the growth and development of OCPM since its founding. Along with Fr. Duane, for whom this award is named, both men have given OCPM credibility and expertise that comes with their incredible experience in prison ministry. So much of what we do today has been formed by the real-world successes of these men.
Through different seasons of OCPM, Fr. John and Fr. Stephen have remained steadfast through their personal ministries, as members of the Board of Trustees, and as members of OCPM staff. Through speaking, training, instruction, and their extraordinary service, they have been instrumental in raising a new generation of people working in prison ministry.
