Do you feel called to be a voice for prison ministry within your community? Discover how you can bridge the gap between your church and those in prison.
The OCPM Advocates is an outreach team of people committed to educating and increasing awareness of Orthodox Christian Prison Ministry in his or her church.
The OCPM Advocates support our mission by maintaining vital streams of communication between OCPM and your church, educating your community on volunteer and giving opportunities, and bringing at least one Advocate Initiative to your church every year.
Being an OCPM Advocate involves three main commitments:
All Advocate Initiatives come with ready-made resources to help you prepare and implement whichever Initiative you choose each year.

Share about what the Orthodox Church is doing for prison ministry across the country over a cup of coffee after church. This is a great way to start the conversation.

Host members of OCPM staff at your church to share from their decades of prison ministry experience. Many churches offer these special retreats for Great Lent.

Help your church join hundreds of other Orthodox churches on OCPM's annual day of remembrance for those in prison.

Encourage your church community to add OCPM to this international day of giving during the Nativity season.

Educate your parish council on how your church can support Orthodox prison ministry on a national level.

Add your voice to OCPM by simply calling our donors and letting them know what this ministry means to you.

One of the best ways to get yourself or your parish involved in prison ministry is to book a speaker from OCPM to teach you how you can begin serving prisoners near you right now. Our chaplains and speakers have decades of experience in prisons at every security level and are available for virtual and in-person seminars.
